Update to MIAR 2025 Live

[Barcelona, 15-01-2025]. Since January 1, 2025, the data corresponding to “MIAR 2024 Live” has been transferred to the historical archive maintained by MIAR since 2009. Following this update, the 2025 Live version has been established as the default version for queries on the platform. However, to maintain access to historical data, each journal's profile includes a link, located in the right-hand column, allowing users to consult the calculation of secondary dissemination data from previous years.

Since 2022, MIAR has replaced the ICDS indicator with a more transparent descriptive model, removing rankings and hierarchies. Instead, journals are presented based on their presence in different categories of databases: citation databases (c), multidisciplinary (m), specialized (e), and evaluation (x). These data are expressed through a simplified formula (cN+mN+eN+xN), which reflects the number of N appearances per category. Journals that no longer meet the inclusion criteria for MIAR are identified with the message:
“X DOES NOT MEET THE INCLUSION THRESHOLD IN MIAR - This journal does not appear in any of the sources analyzed by MIAR LIVE: its dissemination is c0+m0+e0+x0.”

Furthermore, to ensure the relevance and currency of MIAR, the list of analyzed sources has been reviewed and updated, available at the following link: https://miar.ub.edu/databases/GRUPO/. In this edition, new databases have been incorporated to reflect recent transformations in scientific communication and bibliographic control while addressing gaps in certain areas where previous databases are no longer available or do not offer updated title lists.
